Votes for Catholic Women’s Equality
The exclusion of women from decision and policy-making in the institutional Roman Catholic Church is an injustice that disproportionately impacts the lives of women and girls. Because women are prohibited from ordination rites – a necessary key for leadership and voting positions in the Church – women are marginalized, silenced, and absent from Church policies that affect their lives. Together, we must change that.
That’s why we’ve declared this year the year we VOTE YES on women’s equality in the Roman Catholic Church!
- Cast your ballot for equality! The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) will meet this November and once again will make decisions that affect the lives of women and girls without women at the decision-making table. Paper ballots for “Votes for Catholic Women” are set to land in mailboxes soon, but you can vote online today!
- Host a “Catholic Women’s Equali-Tea” gathering in your local community. Click here for a planning tool-kit. Please let us know if you are planning a tea!

- Vote to keep WOC strong! Donate to support the most visible feminist organization working for women’s full equality in the Roman Catholic Church. With staff in Rome and the U.S., WOC keeps our message and mission loud and clear. This is a crucial season for women’s equality, let’s make sure WOC is stronger than ever!
