UPDATE: All UN Commission on the Status of Women Events Cancelled

Women’s Ordination Conference announces with a heavy heart that our first parallel events at the United Nation’s Commission on the Status of Women since becoming an NGO with consultative status are cancelled. All Commission on the Status of Women meetings from March 9-20 and all side events have been cancelled due to the increased risk of COVID-19.

We hope to reschedule our two events (“Challenging Institutional Catholicism through Latinx Listening Sessions and Empowerment” and “Women’s Exclusion from Catholic Leadership Threatens Human Rights”) for later this year.

Until then, we encourage everyone to take necessary precautions, stay healthy, and pray for those affected by the coronavirus, and the people who care for them.
