Founded in 1975, Women’s Ordination Conference (WOC) is a membership funded non-profit organization working for ordination of women as deacons, priests, and bishops into an accountable and inclusive Roman Catholic Church.

Job Title: Digital Organizer

This is a part-time (non-exempt), remote position, estimated at 20-25 hours per week, with an hourly wage of $20-23/hour depending on experience. This position reports to the Executive Director.

Job Description: The Digital Organizer professionalizes, develops, and oversees our campaigns (digital and print) and online presence through streamlined and strategic marketing and communications practices in order to amplify our mission and grow engagement. This position supports the development of programs and campaigns alongside the WOC team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Consistently promote and amplify WOC’s programs, members, and mission across social media platforms to grow our audience and community networks;
  • Develop and manage WOC’s web presence through proactive maintenance of websites, blogs, mass emails, etc.  
  • Manage tracking and reporting systems to inform our digital content and social media strategies for programs and organization;
  • Develops brand kits and social media strategies for programs and fundraising, including compelling graphics and videos;
  • Enhances all print marketing materials for outreach and fundraising through copy editing, graphic design, and ensuring WOC’s voice and mission are consistently represented;
  • Supports the WOC team with developing and overseeing programs, activities, and grassroots organizing, as needed.

Position Requirements:

  • Abundant enthusiasm for social media, strategic communications, and online organizing, and the skills to be able to manage various platforms.
  • Excellent visual, graphic design and written communications skills with proven successes in brand development, content creation, and user engagement.
  • Strong commitment to WOC’s mission and vision to create renewed and inclusive priesthood, and familiarity with Catholic and/or feminist movements.
  • Confidence with WordPress, social media platforms and management systems, membership databases, video creation and editing.

Benefits: Part-time employees are entitled to a small benefits package, including paid time off and sick days. This remote position has flexible hours, although mornings are preferred. WOC will accommodate health and safety guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
