WOC’s 50th Anniversary – How will you get involved?

We are the generation, the community, and the leaders who get to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Women’s Ordination Conference. That’s right, it is time! How will you get involved?

Together we will embark on a pilgrimage to Detroit, Michigan to honor the feminist thought-leadership of our 1975 landmark gathering and energize our movement for the future. We’re ready for our bold, creative, and audacious witness to grow from its strong roots and fully realize ordination justice and equality in our church.

We’re looking to our community to help ensure this incredible gathering is a success. Please consider how you might join WOC in the planning, promotion, and “pulling it off!” Here are some examples of ways you might support WOC:

• Local expertise & connections! Are you based in the greater Detroit area? Have a great catering recommendation? Connected to a local community that should know about WOC?
• Sponsorships! Is there a company or community in your network that might benefit from sponsoring a feminist gathering?
• Programming and liturgy! We’re ready to have a half-a-century-worthy dialogue at the conference. Who should be at the table?
• Creative designs! Strong designs are part of who WOC is. Are you a designer, artist, or creative that might have some ideas for logos, banners, slogans, or overall marketing?
• Marketing and spreading the word! We are ready to announce ourselves to the WORLD with this conference. Can you help us spread the word in print, digital spaces, dioceses etc?
