For Vocations Awareness Week, advocates of women’s ordination were joined by His Eminence, Cardinal Cartone, for a first-of-its-kind conversation. LEARN MOREWorld Day of Prayer for Women’s Ordination
On March 25th, we mark the World Day of Prayer for Women’s Ordination. This concerted, global action is celebrated on the Feast of the Annunciation and together we will honor Mary’s “yes” to God to bear Christ for the world and celebrate the women who courageously say “yes, I am called” to priestly ministry.
We are excited to share a special offering in collaboration with Roman Catholic Women Priests: a video prayer compiled by supporters of women’s ordination from around the world, praying the same prayer together.
Radicals and The Rule
The Women’s Ordination Conference was thrilled to host a conversation between Benedictine sisters Joan Chittister and Teresa Forcades at All Souls UU Church in Washington, D.C. on the evening of October 11th. This was the first encounter between these Catholic feminist sheroes.
These radical sisters follow the Rule of Benedict – but they’re not afraid to challenge other rules. Watch the video to get inspired, activated, and renewed by their dialogue together.
