Stamping Out Injustice: a Feminist Penpal Network

Connect with a supporter of women’s ordination and support the U.S. Postal Service by joining the Feminist Penpal Network with fellow WOC members. Why not bring the snail (mail) back to the grassroots and make a new friend – what could be better in the time of physical distancing? 

• Fill out this form to sign up!
• Agree to our privacy policy and community agreements (below).
• Within a few days, we’ll send you confirmation of your WOC membership, (or information on how to join!), and the Stamping Out Injustice kit: your new penpal’s address; conversation starters; and downloadable stationery. 
• When you agree to participate, you agree to reply within two weeks, with the hope that you’ll each receive a letter a month.

Privacy Policy & Community Agreements:

• I agree to correspond with my penpal by sending mail (postcards or letters — no packages!) through the U.S. Postal Service at least once a month. I will strive to reply within two weeks of receiving a letter. 
• I agree that all postage, stationery or other costs are my responsibility. 
• I consent to providing my mailing address to WOC to be matched with a penpal.
• I agree to keep my penpal’s address and the contents of the letters exchanged confidential, except if there is a legitimate concern of safety or someone is threatened. (If this occurs, contact the appropriate authorities and report it to WOC). 
•  I understand and acknowledge the risks involved in giving my name and mailing address to a person I have not met.
• I agree to not send photos of people to my penpal without written consent. Photos of gardens, landscapes, pets, or surrounding areas are allowed. 
• I agree not to Google my penpal or revert to email! Keep it postal. 
• I agree to use inclusive, justice-rooted language. No swearing, hate-speech, or violent, racist, homophobic imagery, language, or metaphor.
• I agree to no political campaigning or soliciting political support (petitions, donations, etc.). 
• I agree to inform either my penpal or WOC if/when I would like to stop participating. You may stop at any time. 
• I agree to inform WOC if any of these terms have been violated.
