Who Rolled Away the Stone?
In this first Tuesday after Easter, we still have that haunting question: who rolled away the stone? And why is it important to seek the answer? The poet poses the question below and reflects on it in verse. I add a thought at the end.
Easter
What I want to know is simply this:
Who rolled away the stone?
Did Jesus, reviving from the touch of Judas’ kiss,
turn miracle to muscle on his own?
Or did some savior of the Savior move the rock
to let life enter from outside—
Resurrection as a sort of picking of the lock
That separates the bridegroom from his waiting bride?
Perhaps the stone itself got bored
with waiting for a happy ending to the story,
And rolled itself away, to set the body it had stored
Upon the royal road to new life and eternal glory. You might say it does not matter,
But when you are waiting in the dark,
A person wants to know if Life is company or caller,
The friend you trust to seek you, or the waiting spark.
– Lynn Ungar
And so, who did roll away the stone? I picture Jesus and Mary Magdalene rolling it away together; he from the inside, she from the outside: Divine Messenger and Blessed Apostle, two friends, two teachers, two guides, two loved and beloved, two gendered and genderless waiting sparks for us all.

time for all of us to help roll away the stone from the
Biblical Plague of inequality
Help stop discrimination against the female half of God’s Image using patriarchal language of a male/only image, male nouns and pronouns. All negative forms of inequality in worshiping a false Image of God.
The Official Biblical Priestly story in Genesis 1:27; 5:1, tell us “both male and female created in the Image of God.
The Holy Spirit spoke in the last world Council of Vatican II, over 50 years ago in Pastoral Constitution, Article 29 “to end discriminate for race or sex…as not the Will of God.”
For Equal Rights, “Equality” essence of Universal Golden Rule in hearts of good people. Those hurt Jesus said need spiritual “Rebirth” of Biblical John 3:3-7.
Please appeal to Pope Francis or other religious, political, economic leaders to stop supporting discrimination, inequality, for a moral example to our world. Takes International Stamp for The Pope, in Vatican City, Rome, Italy, 00120. Please Share for Blessings Within!
